{February 6, 2011}   Eat, Pray, Love

Based on the recent movie acted by Julia Robert, the best place to enjoy food is Italy, the best place to experience spiritual is India and the best place where one might find love in Bali. I just came back from Bali, a place famous of tradition and religion. The main religion of people in Bali is Hinduism. I was a bit amazed that these people look exactly like Malay but they are not Muslim. Unlike in Malaysia, most of the Malays here are born to be Muslims. The Hinduism practiced by the people in Bali defer from those practiced by the Hinduism in Malaysia who majority are Indians originated from India. In Bali, the temples which popularly known as pura is not open publicly though visitors can still visit the surrounding. Each of Hinduism family in Bali has their own pura and according to the local, the richer the family, the bigger the pura. Therefore, I assume that these pura are not exactly temples like those in Malaysia, where they are opened publicly for praying instead, the pura are like ancestor place.

Other interesting thing that I observed that the local love flowers. Wherever I go- restaurants, hotel, shopping complex, airport and even public toilets are covered by the smell of flowers. These flowers are compulsory tradition for the local to do and they renew the flowers everyday. Even residential houses have a box of petal of different kinds of flowers and smell being put at every entrance of their houses. My tour guide, Pak Dodi, informed me that these boxes of flowers are known as sajian and the minimum cost of sajian is 10,000 rupiah which equivalent to RM3++. When my mother heard that, she commented that Bali people must be rich to afford such thing everyday!

I cannot believe that there some part of humans who still preserve an ancient culture practice. I guess that what makes Bali a unique place to see.

{December 10, 2010}   My Dana Kecemerlangan Report

Alhamdulillah… with the moral support from someone I love, I managed to put some improvement on my Dana Kecemerlangan research report. I finally found the relevant literature to refer to in order to support the research methodology. Hopefully, I can finish this report as soon as possible before 15th December so that I can synchronize with my research partner.

{December 9, 2010}   Wet Day

It has been raining since last night. And it is getting heavier now. Luckily, I was able to swim yesterday afternoon before the weather getting worse.  It was so nice to be able to swim again especially when the pool has been cleaned up. And because of that, I am having slight muscle pain right now. Most probably because I did not do a proper warm up exercise and for not swimming for such a long time. But I am glad that at least I tried yesterday.

Right now I am sitting in front of the computer in my office. Hoping to get back in track with my Dana Kecemerlangan Report. I have no idea why I feel so unmotivated. This is what I have been complaining to Simon and he suggested that I should have a break in Starbucks. His idea is great but I think I already had so many breaks. So, I am thinking of why not I head to Starbucks in Mesra Mall tomorrow morning and bring my report there. Yeah, of course not just bringing the report! Do something on it! Such a great idea, I think =)

Anyway, better push myself on it now. The deadline is coming soon. Grrrr… Pressure!

{December 7, 2010}   My Awal Muharam

What a weird day today. I thought of getting myself doing my own things at home but I end up spending my time with friends.

In the morning, I received a call from a friend who invited me to her house for breakfast. For lunch, friends fetched me at home to have Chinese meals. The best thing, I got to meet my ex-collegemate (not exactly from my batch, he was my junior in college). We chatted like almost 3 hours and after they sent me back home, I thought of relaxing the whole evening by watching the Hindustan movie recommended by my officemate (I found it to be long winded and boring but still acceptable) however, unexpectedly I received a message from another friend who invited me for dinner at her house.

Wah, what a weird day! Well, I guess it is a good start for my Awal Muharam with a smile on my face ^^ (Syukur…Alhamdulillah with every ‘rezeki’ I get from the All Mighty)

{December 6, 2010}   New to WordPress

Writing on blogs is not something new to me but writing on WordPress is new to me. I am trying to get use to the whole system in WordPress. To be honest, it is a bit complicated and confusing but yeah, I am learning. Just want to start of with something fresh after all this while I have been loyal to the blogspot and live journal. I do really hope once I catch up with WordPress functions, I will keep updating here.
